I often find myself needing to have two files visible on my screen at the same time, so I could copy stuff from one file and paste into the other. The easiest way to do this is to tile the files. Tiling simply means having thing side by side. The images below will illustrate my point.

As you can see, you can tile your files horizontally, or vertically.

But how do you actually tile the files?

It's simple.

[list]Open the files or programs you want to tile.[/list:u]
[list]Now look at your taskbar at the bottom of your screen. [img]http://www.nairaland.net/images/tile-taskbar.gif[/img]

[list]Click on the first icon.

[list]Then press and hold the [b]Ctrl[/b] key.[/list:u]
[list]Click the other icon.[/list:u]

[list]Now if you Right click, you should get a menu. [img]http://www.nairaland.net/images/tile-rt-clk.jpg[/img]

[list]Click [b]Tile Horizontally[/b], or [b]Tile Vertically[/b], depending on your needs.[/list:u]

Voila! Now you have tiled files.
