Tiling files in Windows

Do you have information to share about how to do something in the science/technology sector? Be as detailed as you can, by not assuming prior knowledge of the subject.

Tiling files in Windows

I often find myself needing to have two files visible on my screen at the same time, so I could copy stuff from one file and paste into the other. The easiest way to do this is to tile the files. Tiling simply means having thing side by side. The images below will illustrate my point.

As you can see, you can tile your files horizontally, or vertically.

But how do you actually tile the files?

It's simple.

Open the files or programs you want to tile.
Now look at your taskbar at the bottom of your screen. Image

    Click on the first icon.

Then press and hold the Ctrl key.
      Click the other icon.

Both icons should now be selected. Image

Now if you Right click, you should get a menu. Image

Click Tile Horizontally, or Tile Vertically, depending on your needs.

Voila! Now you have tiled files.
