No Jobs in the UK

No Jobs in the UK

Postby alpacaem » Fri Aug 25, 2006 12:13 pm

This is for anyone who is thinking of coming to the UK for work.
There is none!
my fiance is part qualified ACCA accountant and has told employers that he has 1 years UK experiance.
He is now completing some UK software course (as most accountancy employers ask for experiance in this), and still is struggling to get work.
Our friends and family who are in London & Cardiff (two major citys) can't get good work either.
So Please re-consider coming to the UK for work, as it may well not be worth your while.

Is this an issue of employment discrimination, or does the UK just not have those kinds of jobs?

I know that most Nigerians in the UK, even the highly educated ones, only manage to secure menial jobs.

This is a major black eye for Nigerian leaders who clearly don't have a clue what they're doing. Nigerians shouldn't have a need to seek employment outside our borders.

Nigerians are bright, enterprising, and among the most hard working in the world. The only ingredient missing is that the government has failed to provide basic human needs such as clean water, stable electricity, good affordable healthcare, food, good roads, etc. It's difficult for anybody to progress under the conditions that Nigerians find themselves.

Westerners like the US, UK, Canada, etc are no better than Nigeria. Nigerian leaders just happen to not have a clue how to run a nation.
