Do you really see that day in Nigeria when Yorubas, Hausas, Igbos would own businesses jointly, inter-marry freely, live together in the same house, etc?
Do you see the day when Christians and Muslims in Nigeria turn a blind eye to religion and work together with each other in harmony?
Are Nigerians working together better today than they did two, three, four decades ago? The answer is no. Today there are incessant riots like the one recently in Jos. Therefore, what is the hope that Nigeria would be any better in the next one or two generations?
When I think of Nigeria, the phrase 'divided nation' comes to mind.
If Nigerians don't start working together, I think the nation is going to eventually end up splitting up into parts for it to survive. That is a grim prediction, but likely closer to the truth.
