Governor James Ibori of Delta State, has advised Nigerians to be less apprehensive about the 2007 general elections, saying God would resolve all issues relating to the exercise.
He said he would not have sleepless nights over the forthcoming election in Delta State and Nigeria in general, and urged Nigerians who believe in God to trust Him to see the country through a successful, peaceful, rancour-free, (and) violence-free transistion.
While assuring that what remained for him "is to preside over a credible transition in Delta State," he prayed that God would "equally give Obasanjo the courage and all it takes to navigate the political terrain in 2007."
In his sermon, Archbishop Nicholas Okoh of the Baptist Convention, advised Nigerians to fear God and depend on Him, because only God establishes kings and elevates people to glorious positions.
