The National Democratic Institute (NDI) has said that an international delegation to assess preparations for the 2007 presidential, legislative and gubernational elections have arrived Nigeria and would be here till May 11, 2006.
The President NDI, Mr. Ken Wollack who made this known said the delegation was port of NDI’s long term programme to monitor Nigeria’s 2007 elections process which is the 9th NDI election observation to Nigeria since 1999.
Mr. Wollock also stated that a team of experts from Indonecia, Kenya, the United States and Zimbabwe will visit all the six geo-political zones which will precede this delegation.
The statement also rooted that, the purpose of the pre-election missions is to express international support for and interest in a democratic electoral process in Nigeria and to examine the electoral environment leading up to the 2007 polls.
