Nigeria's National U-20 regular player Maurine Eke is among 29 Falconnets invited by the Nigeria Football Association (NFA) on Wednesday to fight for shirts ahead of the FIFA women's World Cup slated for August in Russia.
At a news briefing in the capital Abuja, NFA spokesman Robinson Okosun said the association had asked the players to report for camping at Lagos Meteur Hotel in early July for their build-up in the first phase of the exercise expected to last three weeks.
Okosun added that the squad would move to Ukraine for a two-week camping, and after that seven players would be dropped.
Those called up included four foreign-based players Cynthia Uwuak, Faith Ikidi, Funsho Alake and Rita Chikelu.
The NFA explained that the girls would acclimatize in Ukraine and jet out to Russia for the global championship.
