Nigeria is all about big spending. As if Microsoft and Intel don't have enough wealth, Nigerian figure heads feel the need to give them more money.

Rather than waste money purchasing half a million computers, why didn't somebody think of purchasing computer parts at deeply discounted wholesale value, and then assemble a team of experienced Nigerian computer technicians like me to build systems out of them?

By so doing, the government would be keeping the money at home for a better life for all, while at the same time saving a lot of money.

This knee jerk reaction Nigeria gets each it needs to implement an idea is really not going to move the nation forward. We need to try as much as possible to involve our own people in what we do, rather than rely solely on foreign bodies for everything.

Quit wasting Nigeria's resources if you really want to move the nation forward.
